Terms of Use
License
MacMon is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. If you get MacMon from the Mac App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to that copy.
In plain terms
- MacMon is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, as the license describes. We work hard to make it accurate and reliable, but we can't promise it will find every problem or that every alert is correct.
- MacMon is an audit tool, not a security guarantee. It reports on your Mac's configuration and activity. It doesn't block, remove, or repair anything, and it can't detect everything. A Mac with no MacMon alerts isn't necessarily secure. Keep using the protections built into macOS and good security practices.
- You decide what to change. MacMon suggests fixes, but any change you make to your Mac is your decision and your responsibility. Check a suggested fix before applying it, especially on a Mac your organization manages.
- Your data stays yours. MacMon keeps what it records on your Mac. We can't see it and claim no rights to it. See the privacy policy.
- Use it on Macs you're responsible for. MacMon is meant for monitoring your own Mac or one you're authorized to administer.
